Is PA Gun Trader a firearms dealer?
No. We operate a listings platform that connects private sellers, licensed FFL dealers, and buyers. We never buy, sell, ship, or take title to any firearm, ammunition, or accessory ourselves.
Do I need to go through an FFL to buy or sell here?
It depends on the item and the parties involved. Where federal or Pennsylvania law requires a transfer through a licensed FFL dealer, that transfer must be completed before the buyer takes possession. See our Compliance Notice, or consult the ATF, Pennsylvania State Police, or a licensed FFL dealer if you’re unsure.
How are FFL dealers verified?
Dealers submit their FFL license number, expiration date, and a photo or scan of their actual ATF-issued license for our review. Since only license holders can run ATF’s eZ Check tool themselves, we also accept a screenshot of their own eZ Check result to speed up verification. Only dealers who pass this review receive a Verified badge.
What does membership cost?
Every seller can list for free within standard limits (3 active listings for private sellers, 10 for FFL dealers). Premium tiers start at $4.99/mo for private sellers (15 listings) and $29.99/mo for FFL dealers (50 listings), with more saved searches and additional features. Can I cancel my subscription anytime?
Yes. Cancel anytime from your account settings — you’ll keep access until the end of your current billing period, with no partial-period refunds except where required by law.
Is my personal information shown publicly?
No. Your email address and full name are never shown publicly. Your phone number is only shown if you turn that setting on yourself. Private sellers show only a first name, seller type, county, and member-since date on public pages. See our Privacy Policy for the full picture.
How do I report a listing or a user?
Every listing has a Report option. Reports go to our team for review, and accounts that violate our policies may be warned, suspended, or banned.
What areas does PA Gun Trader serve?
Pennsylvania only. Every listing, dealer, and search is scoped to PA counties.
